Ritual As A State Of Being.

We so often just go about our lives without really thinking about what we're doing, we don't give a second thought to the simple things that we have become accustomed to doing daily - even in this weird time of no real routine or schedule - but the potential to bring magick into our everyday lives through ritual is big - HUGE.

Now, when I say magick, I don't mean acquiring cute little helpful birds and butterflies to assist you in your daily chores a la Disney. I mean adding intention to your seemingly mundane tasks, which in turn allows you to live life more consciously and to be truly present in the Now. Which, after all is all that truly exists. - everything else is still in creation.

By deepening these ordinary practices as intentional rituals, we can begin to nurture connection with spirit and wellbeing as an everyday part of life.

I am a massive fan of making co-creating an easy part of everyday life. Co-creation is acknowledging that you are responsible for your own life and continually take action to gain success, happiness, and wellness.   As spiritual beings living this human experience, we are constantly in connection with source and are able to tap into it whenever we want. So why don't we?!

By adding conscious thought to your everyday tasks, you are opening up and strengthening that connection. The more you see how easy things can flow to you, the stronger the connection becomes and the stronger the belief in your higher power is.

So, here are 3 easy ways to add magic and ritual to the daily tasks that you already do:

1. Stirring your tea and coffee with intention - Making your daily tea or coffee is such a mundane thing to do you probably don't even think twice about what you're doing. However, coming from the knowledge that everything is in fact energy, being aware of the emotional and mental attitude you are infusing into your cup as you stir, can make all the difference in how your day unfolds.

Stirring clockwise, calls things in to you, so focus on what you wish to manifest or attract into your life for that day. It can be anything & they do not have to relate to one another, even something as simple as the perfect parking space at the supermarket! I started off testing out my manifesting skills by wishing that my trains lined up just perfectly when I got to the station in the mornings and I was always able to get on. It literally worked every time and it always made me smile. Start with something small like that if you're new to the practice, so that you can build your belief in it.

Counterclockwise, is for when we wish to banish something from our lives because it either no longer serves us or we simply do not wish to have that energy in our life anymore. It's worth taking note of what way you naturally stir and how that has served you in your daily life.

2. Mirror Affirmations - Mirrors are very powerful ritual tools and have been used since the beginning of time for divination, often in the form of Scrying. The word “scrying” means to reveal or to perceive. Affirmations are whatever we say or think; all of your self-talk, the dialogue in your head, is a stream of affirmations. By combining the two, it allows your subconscious to be reflected back at you. It makes you immediately aware of where you are resisting and where you are open and flowing, clearly showing you what thoughts you need to change.

At whatever point in your morning routine that you look in the mirror, why not use those minutes to reset your subconscious thoughts and charge yourself up for the day with positive affirmations?

Words are super powerful and cast spells when spoken. So cast a Glamour spell over yourself and tell yourself how ferocious you are! Speak aloud what you intend to achieve today. Truly look at yourself and tell yourself all the loving things that you easily tell a friend. Do not let any negativity seep in at all. This is an uplifting ritual that is designed to carry you through the day on a cloud of good vibes only!

3. Shower Meditation - I don't know about you but there is something about standing under warm running water that totally resets my vibe. To me, a shower fixes everything; a hangover, tiredness, a bad mood, all of it. Water is an emotional element and has a healing quality that is unparalleled. Running water down your naked body has the power to clear stagnant energy, open up your chakras and stimulate your creativity (which is why many of us get some of our best ideas in the shower! ).

Now imagine adding intention to your shower. Keeping in mind that water can be programmed (more on that in a future post), you can infuse your shower water with your daily intention as a manifesting ritual.

When we are in the shower, alone and in our birthday suit, it's a time of true vulnerability; you can't hide from yourself. Taking this time to stand fully in the present moment and empower yourself, helps to build a loving relationship with yourself.

Say your affirmations out loud or in your head, paying attention to any feelings that come up.
